SHREVEPORT, La. — The countdown is on for 318 Restaurant Week in Shreveport-Bossier City, with dozens of local restaurants preparing to serve up special deals and unique culinary experiences starting Sunday.
Among the participating spots is Heron at Provenance, located off Southern Loop in Shreveport. The restaurant is known for its modern Creole and Cajun vibe, with a strong focus on fresh seafood.
Chef Blake Jackson is leading the charge in the kitchen and is inviting guests to take part in a special dining experience happening Monday night. The event, dubbed a “Dinner Lab,” will feature a chef-versus-chef challenge between Jackson and Heron’s sous chef, offering diners a creative and interactive culinary showdown.
The Dinner Lab begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Heron and costs $90 per person. Appearing on KTBS’ First News, Jackson spoke about it and why he thinks diners’ expectations will be exceeded with what they’re offering.
At Heron’s sister restaurant located next door, Mae and Co., they’re offering the following 318 Restaurant Week deals:
318 Restaurant Week $15 Lunch and Dinner Deal No. 1: Charbroiled Oysters
