Shreveport chef Blake Jackson opened his second restaurant location in Provenance in November. Heron, a fine dining restaurant, offers a menu that includes a “cold bar” with oysters, caviar, table side beef tartar, seafood tower; “small plates” with Nola Escargo, lobster carnavale; “big plates” with steak & potatoes, shrimp & grits, chicken & fish dishes, plus craft cocktails, wine and beer.

Described as “a place to land,” the website states, “From the first step in, to the last step out, we want you to feel the heart we have for serving you. every dish prepared with intentionality, every cocktail poured with precision and every plate delivered with true hospitality.”

Just a few months before, Jackson also opened Mae & Co. in Provenance next door to Heron. He describes it as “an oyster bar of elevated southern staples, fine beverages, and damn good times.”
