Shreveport Chef Blake Jackson opened his new restaurant, Mae & Co., in Provenance in August. The restaurant is described as “an oyster bar of elevated southern staples, fine beverages, and damn good times.” The menu includes items like poblano pimento cheese, po-boys, fried chicken, desserts & craft cocktails. The restaurant’s name is an homage to a special lady in Jackson’s life, Mae Mae, who helped raise him and shaped the chef’s love of cooking.

The restaurant is located at 1023 Provenance Place Blvd. in Shreveport, and is open Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m. – 9-ish or “til it’s done.”
