The Provenance developers work under the guidance of town planner Steven J. Oubre, an award-winning architect and a pioneering new urbanist. Having practiced architecture since 1976, Oubre co-founded Architects Southwest in 1980. The firm specializes in the new urbanist development of greenfield and infill places and cultural architecture, as well as educational and campus planning throughout the Gulf South. A trailblazer in the new urbanist movement in Louisiana, Oubre’s projects include River Ranch, Louisiana’s first traditional neighborhood development located in Lafayette, Arrozal in Lake Charles, Olde Town in Lafayette and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

He brings to Provenance the knowledge and experience of working within the regulating Design Codes of these developments, in addition to designing numerous homes that already grace the streets of Provenance.
